3 Key Decision.

In order to customize your Field Trip Proposal we will need you to understand and make the (3) key decisions below.

Decision 1. Define your preferred space.

On LEARN day we will create a pep rally. We can do the entire school at once in a large gym or cafeteria or break the school in 2 parts and do half at a time.

On Build Day our goal is to cycle an entire grade level through for each session. Our preferred arrangement is (2) large areas that can fit half of a particular grade level (100 students per space max) with the goal of cycling half of the classes in a grade level into each area. Over the course of the 6-hour day we can cycle k-5th grades through for their sessions.

Decision 2. Decide on your preferred schedule.

LEARN Day Scheduling

The LEARN Day usually happens a day or more prior to BUILD day. Most schools prefer to have all the students in one large area for the 45 minutes LEGO® Educational Pep Rally. However, if your gym isn’t big enough for the entire school we can break it into two segments.

BUILD Day Scheduling

Most schools will divide their students into 5-6 (Grade level-based) sessions throughout the day. Each session lasts 50 minutes to 1 hour. During the session we break the students in each class of a particular grade level into groups. (6-8 students per group) These groups then work together to compete in the topic-based LEGO® challenge. The winner from each session is recognized and after the competition ends the winner from the school is recognized school-wide.

Decision 3. Define which flyer you need to spread the word.

Builder Bunch will provide your school with 2 different flyers types depending on what we are asking parents to do:

  1. SIgn our Participation Waiver Only

  2. Both sign our Participation Waiver and pay the FIeld Trip Fee. (if applicable)
